Putin Meets With Zimbabwean Leader, Wishes African Country All the Best of Luck in the Future

Russia plans to continue its mutually beneficial cooperation with Zimbabwe, said Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the president of the African state, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The president of Zimbabwe hopes that Russia can help his country develop. Putin pointed out that Harare is an important partner of Moscow in Africa.

 

Vladimir Putin: "Zimbabwe is an important partner of Russia in Africa. We're very glad to see you. You recently won a resounding victory in the election. I'm sure that the people in your country expect your presidency to be productive. We're ready to do anything in our power to ensure that our countries and our peoples benefit from the cooperation between our countries. We want to make a meaningful and substantial contribution and help you implement the plans and programs that you've developed".

Emmerson Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe: "During the time of our isolation, Russia remained a reliable partner for us. Today, the members of my delegation and I would like to focus on economic cooperation, because in the sphere of politics, we've already established a reliable partnership, which has historical roots".
