Rapid Escalation in Syria! NATO Buildup in the Mediterranean, Commander’s Finger on the Button!

So, tensions are rising off the Syrian coast, with the NATO buildup in the Mediterranean Sea.

Georgy Podgorny is now live to tell us what the so-called Western coalition is preparing and what evidence there is for it.

- Hello, Georgy. If memory serves us right, not everybody is welcome in Syria.

- Indeed, tensions are extremely high. It's important to look at the situation on the improvised chessboard in Syria and beyond it.

Speaking about the line-up in Syria, we should bear in mind that only the Russian and Iranian militaries intervened at the invitation of the official government. Every other party in the conflict is unwelcome, to say the least. The territory of Syria is mostly controlled by government forces. The most complicated region is Idlib. We'll get back to it as there are armed opposition fighters as well as terrorists belonging to a number of groups which attack the Syrian troops' positions.

Meanwhile, what's going on in Syrian territorial waters? Earlier the media made the following statistics public. According to Western monitoring resources, frigates of the Canadian, Dutch, and Greek navies have ended up in close vicinity to Syria. And, lo and behold, last week military exercises took place in the Mediterranean. to sharpen their skills using naval missile systems. And this is only part of the US and its allies' arsenal which is now in the waters near the Syrian Arab Republic.

Let's continue the list. Firstly, the US Navy's Sixth Fleet flagship, the USS Mount Whitney, This is the headquarters ship, or, to put it simply, the floating command center. It is accompanied by the destroyers Carney, Ross, and Winston Churchill. Moreover, there's some information about submarines. At least three Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack submarines have been detected in the area. For the record, they have been produced since 1976. Both the destroyers and the submarines are equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles. The US Navy is believed to currently possess over 200 units. The range of the guided missiles is up to 932 miles, meaning that some important Syrian facilities are within the potential impact zone.

The destroyer Porter deserves a few more words. This giant is about 500 feet long. Its crew consists of 337 people, including 23 officers. It's equipped with tactical strike weapons, anti-aircraft batteries, and mine and torpedo weapons among other things. Clearly, the vehicle is rather imposing. Now it is in the Mediterranean as well.

The buildup in the Persian Gulf is underway as well. When it was revealed that an alleged chemical provocation was being prepared in the tensest area of Syria, Idlib, the destroyer the USS The Sullivans arrived. It's equipped with 56 guided missiles. At the same time, a US Air Force strategic bomber was deployed at the Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. It has over 20 air-to-surface missiles.

This all makes everyone think that they are preparing to attack even before the provocation itself. The scenario is well-known. Civilians will suffer in the areas controlled by the insurgents to avoid unnecessary witnesses. The White Helmets will pop up to shoot a staged video, while the main enemy will already be known to the world community. Of course, it's Bashar Al-Assad's troops.

Finally, the play is rehearsed so well that the actors unconsciously get ahead of themselves. The fake chemical attack has been prepared as meticulously as the warships have been brought to attack positions in order not to waste time on logistics when there's a pretext for an attack, even if it is far-fetched. Washington will give an order, and a commander will push the button.

- Thank you. Georgy Podgorny has told us about the military line-up in the Syrian Arab Republic.
