Breaking news. Mikheil Saakashvili has been arrested in Ukraine that night. And this play-actor politician, naturally, has already gone on an indefinite hunger strike.

Olga Turchininova is reporting from Kiev.

Tents, burning barrels and car tires, which hasn't been set on fire yet. Supporters of Mikheil Saakashvili spent the whole night at the walls of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The building is under enhanced security in case the supporters of Saakashvili suddenly decide to free him again. As it happened earlier when the activists literally took Saakashvili away from the operatives. This time National Guard members in full kit keep alert around the buses.

Saakashvili’s supporter:"People! Film everything that you can film, post it on Facebook (запрещена в РФ), YouTube!"

Immediately the stage and the sound equipment appeared. The lawyer took the floor with Saakashvili's speech.

Ruslan Chernolutsky, lawyer:"They want to scare you this way, don't be afraid of anything and go bravely to a peaceful Sunday action "For Impeachment!"

Saakashvili himself decided to go on a hunger strike. He denies all the allegations. The charges are quite serious: assisting members of criminal organizations and in general, preparing a coup for the money of the oligarchs.

"The detainee is placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions and recourse to the court to select pre-trial restrictions".

Today the court may rule on pre-trial restrictions, but no later than on Monday. But the General prosecutor's office has already declared that it will ask only to place Saakashvili under house arrest. The measure is incredibly mild taking into account the gravity of the charges and Saakashvili's propensity for escapes with the help of supporters.
