‘Power of Siberia’ Gas Pipeline Along Amur River Highlights Russo-Chinese Cooperation

The construction workers on the gas pipeline the Power of Siberia have dug a tunnel under the river Amur on the Russian-Chinese border. It's almost 1,300 meters long and 2 meters wide

The construction workers on the gas pipeline the Power of Siberia have dug a tunnel under the river Amur on the Russian-Chinese border. It's almost 1,300 meters long and 2 meters wide.

The main pipeline will go through the tunnel. Now the workers have to dig another passage under the transboundary river for the reserve pipeline.

 

The Chinese will carry out the tunnel construction.

Syui Lyan Lyan, chief of construction department: "It's my first time on such a project — under the water and underground. We are using the best technology and implementing international standards that comply with calculations and requirements of both countries. We are thankful to your country for the cooperation and support. That's why everything's going as planned".
